Method
- Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F). Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat. Stir in the cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the cooked pasta to the cheese sauce and stir to combine.
- Pour the pasta mixture into a baking dish. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs if using.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
Notes
Serve hot. You can add cooked vegetables or protein to the bake for a more complete meal.
