- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until combined.
- Beat in vanilla extract, egg, and egg yolk until light and creamy.
- Gradually mix in dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheets, spacing cookies 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Let cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring.
