Ingrédients
  

For the Chicken
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
For the Rice
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • Large skillet
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chicken pieces, salt, and pepper. Cook until chicken is browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add rice, chicken broth, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir to combine.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
  6. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to combine. Serve hot.
