Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add this to the butter mixture.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
