For the Chocolate Layer
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
For the Mint Layer
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • 2 drops green food coloring optional

Method
 

  1. Heat the heavy cream for the chocolate layer in a saucepan until it simmers.
  2. Pour the hot cream over the dark chocolate chips and whisk until smooth.
  3. Divide the chocolate mixture evenly among serving glasses and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  4. Whip the heavy cream for the mint layer with powdered sugar and peppermint extract until stiff peaks form.
  5. Add green food coloring if desired and mix well.
  6. Spread the mint cream over the chilled chocolate layer and refrigerate for another hour before serving.
