- In a medium saucepan, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.
- Gradually whisk in milk until smooth.

- Stir in butter and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour the pudding into serving dishes and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
