For the Cake
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix plus ingredients listed on the box
For the Pudding
  • 2 boxes chocolate pudding mix instant
  • 4 cups milk
For the Topping
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup chocolate shavings

Method
 

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake according to the package instructions. Let it cool completely.
  2. Make the chocolate pudding by whisking the pudding mix with milk. Let it set in the fridge for 5 minutes.
  3. Cut the cooled cake into small cubes.
  4. Layer half of the cake cubes in the trifle dish. Top with half of the pudding.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining cake and pudding.
  6. Spread whipped cream over the top. Sprinkle with chocolate shavings.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
