For the Beef Filling
  • 1 lb ground beef 80% lean
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
For Serving
  • 8 taco shells corn or flour
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese cheddar or Monterey Jack
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
  2. Drain excess fat from the skillet. Stir in chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and salt. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Warm taco shells according to package instructions.
  4. Fill taco shells with beef mixture. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and sour cream.
