Classic Grilled Cheese

A simple and satisfying grilled cheese sandwich.

Ingrédients
  

  • 2 slices Bread
  • 1-2 Cheese slices e.g., cheddar, American, provolone
  • 1 tablespoon Butter softened

  • Skillet
  • Spatula

Method
 

  1. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Layer the cheese slices on top of the bread in the skillet.
  4. Place the second slice of bread on top of the cheese, butter-side up.
  5. Grill for 3-4 minutes, until the bottom slice is golden brown and the cheese begins to melt.
  6. Flip the sandwich with a spatula and grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes, until golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
  7. Remove from skillet, slice in half if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

You can add other ingredients like ham or tomato slices between the cheese layers for variation.
