Type de plat: Appetizer
Cuisine: American

Ingrédients

For the Bites
  • 1 sheet Puff pastry thawed
  • 8 oz Brie cheese rind removed, cut into 12 cubes
For the Cranberry Topping
  • 1 cup Fresh cranberries
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp Orange juice
  • 1 tsp Orange zest

Equipment

  • Muffin tin
  • Small saucepan
  • Rolling pin
  • Round cookie cutter

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet. Use a round cookie cutter (about 3 inches in diameter) to cut out 12 circles.
  3. Press each pastry circle into a muffin cup, gently pressing it up the sides.
  4. Place one cube of brie into each pastry-lined muffin cup.
  5. In a small saucepan, combine the fresh cranberries, granulated sugar, and orange juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the orange zest.
  6. Spoon about a teaspoon of the cranberry mixture over the brie in each muffin cup.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  8. Let the bites cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes before carefully removing them. Serve warm.

Notes

For a savory variation, you can add a sprinkle of chopped rosemary or thyme to the cranberry mixture. You can also substitute raspberry or fig jam for the fresh cranberry topping if desired.
