Ingrédients

For the Bites
  • 1 sheet Puff pastry thawed
  • 4 oz Brie cheese rind removed, cut into 12 pieces
  • 1/4 cup Whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 Egg beaten (for egg wash)

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Pastry brush
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unfold the puff pastry sheet onto a lightly floured surface. Cut the pastry into 12 equal squares.
  3. Place a piece of brie in the center of each puff pastry square.
  4. Top the brie with about 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce.
  5. Bring the corners of the puff pastry up and pinch them together to enclose the brie and cranberry sauce. You can also fold the pastry over the filling to create a small turnover.
  6. Place the pastry bites on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush the tops of the pastry bites with the beaten egg wash.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

You can use homemade or store-bought cranberry sauce. For a touch of sweetness, you can drizzle a little honey over the bites before serving.
