For the Green Beans
  • 1 pound fresh green beans trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Garlic Parmesan Coating
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the trimmed green beans with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the green beans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Roast for 10-12 minutes, or until the green beans are tender-crisp.
  5. Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Sprinkle the minced garlic and grated Parmesan cheese over the green beans. Toss to combine.
  6. Return the baking sheet to the oven for another 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crispy green beans, you can increase the roasting time slightly, watching carefully to prevent burning. You can also add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a touch of heat.
