For the Brownies
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Stir until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  4. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Let cool before cutting into squares.
