For the Cupcakes
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup milk
For the Frosting
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and milk. Mix until smooth.
  4. Divide batter evenly among liners. Bake for 18-20 minutes.
  5. Cool cupcakes completely before frosting.
  6. For frosting, beat butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
  7. Frost cooled cupcakes.
