- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Transfer the beef mixture to the slow cooker. Add kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, and beef broth. Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 4 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
