Ingrédients
  

Hot Chocolate Base
  • 6 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips dark or semi-sweet
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Toppings
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup chocolate shavings
  • 1/4 cup crushed peppermint
  • 1/4 cup whipped cream
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon sticks

Equipment

  • Large wooden board or platter
  • Small bowls or ramekins

Method
 

  1. Heat the milk, heavy cream, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the chocolate melts and the mixture is smooth.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the hot chocolate into mugs or a serving pitcher.
  4. Arrange the toppings in small bowls or directly on a large wooden board.
  5. Serve the hot chocolate with the toppings for guests to customize their drinks.
