Marinara Sauce

A simple marinara sauce recipe.

Ingrédients
  

  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 (28 ounce) can Crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and cook for at least 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Notes

Serve hot over pasta or use as a base for other dishes.
