  • 1 package puff pastry thawed
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese cheddar or your favorite
  • 2 tablespoons chopped chives
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, chopped chives, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Unfold the thawed puff pastry sheet onto a lightly floured surface. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Roll up the puff pastry tightly, starting from one of the longer sides. Slice the roll into 1/2-inch thick pieces.
  5. Place the slices onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

You can add other ingredients to the cream cheese mixture, such as cooked bacon bits, finely chopped jalapeños, or sun-dried tomatoes.
