- In a saucepan, heat the milk, pumpkin puree, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice over medium heat. Whisk until smooth.
- Once hot but not boiling, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Divide the brewed coffee or espresso between two mugs.
- Pour the pumpkin-spiced milk over the coffee and stir gently.
- Top with whipped cream if desired and sprinkle with extra pumpkin pie spice.
