For the Skillet Dinner
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 14.5 oz
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups pasta uncooked
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or mozzarella

Method
 

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the onion is soft.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, beef broth, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Add the uncooked pasta to the skillet. Stir to combine, then cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes until the pasta is tender.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top. Cover and let it melt for 1-2 minutes before serving.

Notes
