Method
- Make the raspberry syrup: Combine raspberries, water, and sugar in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until raspberries break down and sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes.
- Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing gently on the solids. Discard the solids. Let the syrup cool.
- Assemble the soda: Divide the lime juice and raspberry syrup among 4 glasses.
- Add ice to each glass. Top with chilled sparkling water.
- Stir gently. Garnish with a lime slice and a raspberry, if desired.
Notes
You can adjust the amount of syrup to your sweetness preference. The syrup can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
