Method
- Combine apple cider, cinnamon stick, star anise, and cloves in a saucepan.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 10 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Strain the spiced cider into a mug, discarding the spices.
- Add bourbon to the mug with the warm spiced cider.
- Stir gently and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
Notes
You can adjust the amount of bourbon to your preference. For a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the bourbon.
