Method
- Place the quartered potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water. Add a pinch of salt.
- Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat. Cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.
- Drain the potatoes well and return them to the pot.
- Add the butter, warm milk, minced garlic, truffle oil, salt, and pepper to the pot with the potatoes.
- Mash the potatoes with a potato masher until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve hot.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add a tablespoon of chopped fresh chives or parsley before serving.
